In Your Backyard Iowa started in 2007 airing statewide. In 2008 we expanded covering Iowa on cable, broadcast, satellite TV. We air our programs on 6 stations 11 times a week statewide.
It all started with an idea from Tom Beougher our Executive producer of the show; he contacted Rob Welch your In Your Backyard Iowa host and asked him if he would like to do an outdoor program. Both Tom and Rob could see a need for a program to highlight the great lakes and hunting opportunities in Iowa. The adventure began. With the help of many great sponsors we have traveled all over the state of Iowa fishing many rivers and lakes. We cover many types of hunting in Iowa from Mushrooms to White Tailed Deer. Our website has fishing reports, hunting reports, photographs from our viewers all over Iowa. We provide training and education on many outdoor subjects and much more. We reach an international fan base with the World Wide Web.
